Walking along the sandy roads in Key West, I spotted a single child’s sandal laying abandoned along the side of the road.  The day was warm and sunny and my mind instantly flashed to a sleepy child, worn from a day at the beach, losing the sandal as they were carried home by loving parents.  The vulnerably of a child being carried contrasted with the strength of the one who is carrying them is a powerful image.  Sometimes we are tired, and  need to be carried.  Sometimes we are strong and we carry someone else.  These are acts of Divine Wisdom.
